NOTD: Neon and Pastel

Can I make a confession? For me, nail of the day posts are a cop out. I wanted to do a wearable color post today, but I'm going to be doing zumba later tonight. Putting on a full face of makeup would be pointless. I could have done a review, but my last few posts have been reviews. I don't really feel like doing another one today. 


So you get my NOTD...

On my nails are... 
Sinful Colors Unicorn- pale yellow
Sinful Colors Why Not- neon blue


I really like this color combo. It pays homage to my team (University of Michigan, GO BLUE!) and hits on the pastel trend and neon trend. The formula of these polishes is nothing to write home about. The yellow is thin, streaky, and hard to work with. I did three coats in the nail picture above and it still wasn't opaque. The blue is much better, but is by no means spectacular. However, these polishes were only $1.99, so I really can't expect too much from them!

Halloween NOTD

Happy Halloween!

I don't have a reason to dress up this year, but I did manage to be a Halloweenie with my nails. This is just two coats of an orange polish with black shatter on top. For an accent nail I attempted to make a jack-o-lantern using a Kiss nail art striper.

Nail of the Day!

Sinful Colors- Nirvana. A cool toned taupey brown

Sally Hansen Lacquer shine-Shinning. A deep purpley red.

Seche Vite top coat.

I tried this same color combo using the new nail lacquers from Mary Kay. The Sable color was prettier than the sinful colors polish I used above. The Mary Kay shade had a really pretty iridescence to it that sets it apart from the other shade. I had to redo my manicure because my original one got smudged up!

Nail of the Day!

Hey everyone! Just checking in with a nail of the day! :)

I used 2 coats of Sally Hansen X-tream wear polish in Ivy League. I then topped it off with 1 coat of Milani 3D holographic lacquer in Hi-tech.

But it isn't! But I still like the combo I came up with :)

Lash Haul and NOTD

I have a confession to make....I cheated on my P10P. Last night at Meijer's I succumbed to temptation and bought some lashes. Here's my mini Meijer's haul.....



I mean, you can hardly call it a haul, so I think it shouldn't count as a strike against my P10P. The lashes were both on sale and I didn't already have lash glue. I don't wear false lashes that often. Usually only on special dates with my husband. Now I think I may wear them more often :) How often do you wear falsies?

Oh and here is my NOTD

Two coats of China Glazes 'For Audrey' and a coat of Seche Vite top coat. What's on your nails today?
