How to: 5 minute face

What a difference a few products and 5 minutes can make!

This is my quick and easy face for lazy days at home, trips to the grocery store, or days when I just don't have time to do much more!

The products:
Sonia Kashuk Perfecting Luminous Foundation, Sonia Kashuk Brightening Powder, Sonia Kashuk Hidden Agenda Concealer Palette, Maybelline Define a Brow Pencil, Cover Girl Lash Blast Fusion Mascara.
The tools :
Baby lips, you should be in the other picture!
Start with a clean and moisturized face
Naked face!  Yikes!

Base- Apply a light foundation or tinted moisturizer. I used my fingers and blended a thin layer of foundation on my skin, starting in the center of my face. I also blended some foundation over my eyelids.

Conceal-  Using fingers and your favorite concealer, cover any flaws that weren't covered by your foundation. I concealed under my eyes, a few blemishes that I have, and my eyelids.

Set-  This is an optional step. Use your favorite powder to set your concealer and foundation. I used my brightening powder, with a fluffy eye brush, to set my undereye concealer and swept it across my eyelids for a brightening effect. I then used the setting powder in my concealer palette, with the same fluffy brush, on my T zone.

Cheeks and Lips- Using a cream, liquid, or gel blush blend, with your fingertips, the product onto the apples of your cheeks for a natural flush. Then apply to the lips for some color.

Brows- Another optional step. If you already have full brows brush them into place and apply brow gel if they are unruly. My brows need some help, so I softly defined and filled them in using a taupe colored pencil. Using short, light strokes. Brush through with a brow spoolie to soften and blend the pencil.

Eyes- Curl your eye lashes and apply mascara. I always use a black mascara. Even if the rest of my face is natural, I still want the biggest and best lashes that I can get. Use brown mascara if you prefer a more natural look.

Ahh...That's better!
Tips- It really helps to use multi use products. **My foundation has a luminous finish, so there was no need for highlighter. **The concealer palette has a powder in it. **Using the same product for cheeks and lips makes it easy and saves time. This routine shouldn't take you much more than 5 minutes!
**If you don't need to powder or do your brows you could quickly apply a light, shimmery eye shadow. I find creams easier and faster to blend. **For more definition to your eyes smudge the eyeliner or eyeshadow of your choice along your lashline.

Final Thoughts- Wearing makeup doesn't have to require a ton of products and a lot of time. Use minimal products with the maximum impact.
Beauty and feeling good about yourself starts on the inside. It starts with what you put into your body and how you take care of it; physically, emotionally, and spiritually. You can have a beautiful exterior, but if you are ugly on the inside, that is what shines through. I truly believe that the most beautiful thing you can have is a warm and kind heart. It doesn't really matter what you have on your face if you are a kind person with a warm and genuine smile, because that is what shines through.

Like that natural look!  I never wear a ton of makeup.

My go to- is quick foundation and a little blush and eye makeup and of course chapstick or lipgloss...this is typically only for work as any other time, I try to do it up big. If it's going out of something else than work, i take time with primers/concealours etc...The natural look is not my thing..not lately anyway...

I do not believe you did this in 5 minutes! You look flawless! My 5 minute face is: my Avon moisturiser, eye cream, touché etclat, Stila eyeliner, Max Factor mascara and lipgloss. Pretty basic xx
